If you enjoyed this book I would highly recommend Johnny Tremain by Esther Hoskins Forbes. It's on a middle school reading level but it's historically based as well. It's action packed as it follows the exploits of Johnny Tremain on the eve of the American Revolutionary War. It's a fast and exciting read.
